Naturalist-Led Family Hikes at Spring Lake Saturday

The one-hour hikes  will begin at 1 or  3 pm and families can return to the EDC afterward to design leaf cards and seed balls and learn more about plants and native plant use in Sonoma County. These will be easy to moderate hikes. All ages are welcome, but strollers are not recommended.  $5 per family. Parking is $6 (free with annual parks membership). [Read more →]

They’re celebrating the opening of this new exhibit with Filipino foods, live music, and an alter dedication. Tellebration Saturday

This annual storytelling extravaganza features 7 fine local story tellers. This isn’t just for kids—or even mostly for kids, although kids are welcome if they are good listeners. Winterblast on Saturday

Santa Rosa’s SOFA Arts District will host the 7th annual Winterblast. Winterblast is a street party celebrating the arts and community.

The One World Band will be playing and the artist studios will poster smedia 150x150 Winterblast on Saturdaybe open for viewing. There will also be food vendors, the magician Ken Garr, an interactive Kid’s Art Zone and more. The evening’s highlight will be the unique SOFA Parade. Come in costume to join the parade.
