Chateau St. Jean Winery is having a free Zydeco concert on the Green Friday evening.  Gator Beat Band is playing from 6:30-8:30 pm. Glasses of wine will be available for purchase, and you can order a picnic dinner in advance.

The 25th Anniversary Wine Country Film Festival (Santa Rosa International Film Festival) will be held September 14 -20, 2011. It’s not particularly cheap:  day passes are $50- $65, series passes run $225 to $500. But they are selling series passes to locals for $100 (with a limit of 50 passes sold at this price), so if you’re local and want to go, you might want to grab a local pass.

A lot of people have told me that when it’s rainy and the kids are bored (or sometimes when the sun is shining but the kids are bored) they go to SOTC’s Best Rainy Day Kids Activities in Sonoma County post. Adam Traum (folk music)  will perform at 1 pm Saturday at Landmark Vineyards. Landmark also offers complimentary Horse-Drawn Wagon Vineyard tours on Saturdays  from 1pm – 4  pm. Pack a picnic, enjoy a game of bocce or a horse-drawn wagon tour, listen to some music,  and stay for the afternoon.  Children are welcome.
