Singgalot (The Ties That Bind): Filipinos in America, from Colonial subjects to Citizens is a Smithsonian Exhibit coming to the Sonoma County Museum on Friday. They’re celebrating the opening of this new exhibit with Filipino foods, live music, and an alter dedication. Free for museum members, Adults $10, seniors and students with ID $5, kids under 12 free.

There will be 2 naturalist-led family hikes starting at the Environmental Discovery Center at Spring Lake (kids welcomed)  this  Saturday. The one-hour hikes  will begin at 1 or  3 pm and families can return to the EDC afterward to make bird feeders and learn more about animal habitats of Sonoma County. These will be easy to moderate hikes along the Shady Oaks Nature Trail.
