Wednesday Wines & Sunsets in Paradise

paradisewineryview 150x150 Wednesday Wines & Sunsets in ParadiseJust a reminder, Paradise Ridge Winery stays open late  (from 6 pm to 8 pm) on Wednesdays so you can picnic and watch spectacular sunsets from their veranda. Wines are available for purchase by the bottle or glass.  Paradise is one of the wineries that has free self-guided vineyard tours. The Chef at Hopmonk created a picnic menu for Paradise if you want some delicious suggestions for what to bring.

Second Cut at deLorimier Winery in Geyserville

Second Cut, a local classic rock and dance band, performs free on Friday at deLorimier Winery in Geyserville .  You can dance under the stars, eat a  picnic dinner or buy food  there (burgers, salmon burgers, or veggie burgers and a green salad for $12).  You can bring in non-alcoholic beverages, but no outside beer, wine or alcohol is allowed. Wine is available for purchase. Club members may reserve a table.

Landmark also offers complimentary Horse-Drawn Wagon Vineyard tours on Saturdays  from 1pm – 4  pm. Latin Music at Landmark Vineyards

Chicago Hot Dog will serve the Overlook Chardonnay Hot Dog, the Steel Plow Syrah Hot Dog and the full-on Chicago Hot Dog  for a fee). Or pack your own picnic. There are also vineyard tours on a horse-drawn wagon, bocce ball, and lawn games.

Free Sonoma County Vineyard Adventures

mantanzas creek vineyard 150x150 Free Sonoma County Vineyard AdventuresFour FREE self-guided vineyard tours are available from the Sonoma County Vinters Association. Sonoma Vineyard Adventures will be offered at four wineries including Mantanzas Creek Winery (Bennett Valley), Paradise Ridge Winery (Russian River Valley) Balletto Vineyards (Russian River Valley) and Mauritson Winery (Dry Creek Valley). Vineyard tours are a great way to fully appreciate the wine making process–not to mention a great way to walk off some of the wine tasted or the calories from the picnic lunch you brought.

Guests will receive a detailed guide of each vineyard with points of interest that are clearly marked along the route. Sonoma Vineyard Adventures are free and available to the public year-round, and each is less than a mile in length. No advance reservations are necessary. (Tasting fees may apply at participating wineries.) Additional vineyards may be added in the future.
