You can download a free Father’s Day craft e-book and come up with a gift from the hands and well as the heart. Craft instructions include a geometric leather keychain, a muddy tire track jacket, a backscratcher (a good kids project) , a “burger box” to hold cookies cupcakes, or presumably, little burgers, and a selection of spice rubs (hmm, that might go well with the burger box…)

If you have photos of places of events in Sonoma County to share, here’s how you do it: go to the Sonoma on the Cheap Facebook page. If you haven’t already “liked” the page, you have to “like” it to share. Then go to wall, and under share, hit the photo button and upload.

Reminder, tomorrow Saturday May 8 is the big National Mail Carriers Food Drive.  It’s as easy as, well, canned fruit. Just leave a bag of food by your mailbox first thing in the morning  and your mail carrier (while getting a great workout hefting canned goods as well as mail) will make sure it gets to a local food bank. The needs are great this year, so even if all you can spare is a can of soup, put it out there. Please, don’t send food in glass containers or expired food.
