It’s coming up to winter, which means it’s coming up to the holiday season, and holiday eating.

And isn’t one of the excuses that we always make to not get to the gym that it’s just “too much of a hassle” to drive that five minutes to the gym to work out?

Well we can’t even make that excuse anymore – I’m not giving you any outs! Here is a list of 5 exercises that you can do at home without any fancy gym equipment, and it will probably be some of the best workout you can do. Snoopy’s Home Ice is particiapting in Try Hockey for Free Day events on Saturday, November 5. This event is designed to introduce kids ages 4-9 to the sport of youth hockey. Register here.

The Adobe Creek Golf Course in Petaluma (which recently reopened) is holding  free clinics for women on Oct. 27-28. The clinics run from 10 am to 11 am. All skill levels are invited. The emphasis will be on the long and short game.

I wouldn’t want to golf in this weather, but I’ve known golfers who golfed in thunderstorms and near blizzards, so obviously, I’m not a die-hard golfer.  No way around it, golf is expensive.
