Free Museum Admission for B of A Customers

de young museum 150x150 Free Museum Admission for B of A CustomersIt’s the first weekend of the month, and that means Bank of America customers can visit museums free through the bank’s Museums On Us program. Just show your Bank of America credit or debit card Saturday or Sunday and you will get free admission to more than 120 museums and attractions in cities across the United States. In the Bay Area, that includes:

  • The Museum of the African Diaspora
  • The deYoung Museum
  • The Contemporary Jewish Museum
  • The Legion of Honor

Many Bay Area museums have a free entry day once a month. If you are not a Bank  of America customer, and want to get in to some of our fine museums free, check out this list.

Free Museum Admission for Military Personnel and their Families

bluestarmuseums 150x73 Free Museum Admission for Military Personnel and their FamiliesThis summer, more than 600 museums in all 50 states are offering free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, through Labor Day, September 6, 2010 to show their appreciation for those who are serving this nation. I didn’t  notice any in Sonoma County, but the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito  is on the list, and many of the San Francisco Museums are participating.  And if you have travel plans, there are museums  across the country offering this deal.

If you’re not in the military, but are thinking of planning a day trip or two to bay area museums this summer, you might want to check out this list of free days at bay area museums.

Free Day at the Charles Schulz Museum

On Saturday February 27, there will be FREE admission to the Schulz Museum all day. At 11 am and 11:30 am, visitors can learn to swing and/or waltz (Schulz’s favorite dance) with Schulz’s dance teacher, Emily McAuliff.

And at 1 pm, author and comic collector Peter Maresca will discuss the history of comics and his books, which strive to collect and preserve our comic history. Maresca’s books include Little Nemo in Slumberland: So Many Splendid Sundays and Little Sammy Sneeze.

Free Museum Entry to Bank of America Customers

If you’re a Bank of America customer, you can get free admission to several SF museums this holiday weekend. On the first full weekend of every month, B of A offers its cardholders free entry into select museums. This Saturday and Sunday, January 2-3rd, with your B of A Card, you can get free admission to:
