Free Make ‘n Takes for Kids

Beverly’s Craft Store has two upcoming free make n’ take programs for kids. On either March 13 or  27th from 1 pm- 2 pm, kids can make a friendship bracelet free. On March 20th  from 1 pm to 2 pm theycan make a suncatcher.

Free DVD Rental for Good Grades

popcorn3 150x150 Free DVD Rental for Good GradesKids in K-12 can get a free Blockbuster movie rental at participating stores (go here to find a Blockbuster store near you and call ahead to make sure they’re participating) for good grades. It’s only good on their Blockbuster Favorites DVDS (not the just released movies) and kids have to show a report card with a  B average or better within 30 days of receiving the report card. Only one DVD rental per kid, but every kid in your family under grade 12 witha B or better average can claim their free rental.

You can also get a free Hostess snack for good grades (and a loaf of bread for being a good parent) at the Wonder/Hostess Outlet on Sebastopol Rd in Santa Rosa for good grades.

Oh the Places You’ll Go!

seuss Oh the Places Youll Go!Dr. Seuss  fans should head to their local Target on Saturday, Feb 27 for Dr. Seuss story time, part of a nationwide effort to gets kids reading more books. Between 9 am and 11 am storytellers will read Dr. Seuss’ classic “Oh The Places You’ll Go!”.  There won’t be any green eggs and ham, but there will be fruit snacks and juice. There may also be Dr. Seuss-inspired games and giveaways, but you might want to call first to be sure your nearest Target store  is participating.
