Free Presciption Discount Card

If you don’t have insurance or if your health insurance doesn’t cover prescriptions, it might be worth your while to print out a free prescription discount card.

Certain counties (including Sonoma) have worked with Caremark to offer their residents these cards free. It gets you an average of 22% off prescriptions (and some diabetic supplies) at a long list of pharmacies, including  CVS, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Raleys ,Safeway, etc. It isn’t  insurance, and it doesn’t work in addition to your insurance (but you can use it for a prescription your insurance doesn’t cover).
