Bodega Bay Coast Guard Station Open House

The Bodega Bay Coast Guard station is holding an Open House on Saturday, May 22 from 10 am-3 pm.

There will be free demonstrations, tours of the buildings and boats, and helicopters. You can watch a SAR (Search & Rescue) demonstration by a Coast Guard helicopter. (They’ll drop a long line into the Bay to assist a person in trouble in the water.) They’ll teach you how to throw a heaving line ( the line used to hook up a tow line to a boat in trouble).
