Meet the Author: The Horse of Wine County

Horse Grazing 150x150 Meet the Author: The Horse of Wine CountyThere will be a Meet the Author program for adults and teens with  Wanda Smith, author of the recently-published book The Horse of the Wine County. Ms. Smith is a former breeder of quarter horses, ranch manager, and a current cutting horse competitor. The Horses of the Wine Country captures the beauty of the Sonoma County’s many horses and the dedication of their owners, breeders, and riders. Smith also discusses the history of horses in the area, from the late 1800s, when Sonoma County went from being the center of the harness racing world to becoming the heart of the West Coast horse show world in the mid 1900s. Open to the public free of charge.
