Cheap Eats: Reader Review of Red Rose Cafe

ribs Cheap Eats: Reader Review of Red Rose CafeThe Red Rose Cafe, in the little strip mall at the corner of Piner and Coffey has an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for $7.95 on weekdays, and a terrific brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Beer and wine, southern-style cooking, and it’s fabulous! But don’t take MY word for it – go and check it out yourself.

It’s Southern-style cookin’: fried chicken, (the BEST!) ribs, (both pork and beef,) biscuits & gravy, red beans & rice, fresh veggies – sauteed or steamed – but I’ve only been there once, and it was on a first date, but she was VERY impressed. It’s one of those little hole-in-the-wall places, where you always find the best food for your buck.

I’d really like to see a place like this succeed, so I’ve been telling all my friends and neighbors about it, and they’ve all come back to tell me how delicious the food is, and the service is wonderful, too.
