B.R. Cohn Winery Hosts Artist Linus Maurer

B.R. Cohn Winery will be hosting a free art exhibit spotlighting Linus. The weekend will include Roger’s Locomotive BBQ, B.R. Cohn fine wines, and Linus.

An internationally celebrated cartoonist, painter, humor writer and puzzle creator. Linus Maurer’s career began when he and Charles Shultz (creator of Peanuts comic strip) taught cartooning together at Art Instruction Schools, a correspondence school based in Minneapolis. Linus became the inspiration for Shultz’s Linus character. He currently writes and draws an editorial cartoon, Newshound, and creates the daily puzzle Challenger for newspapers around the globe. The brilliant colors of his acrylic paintings reflect his love of whimsy and satire.
