First Fridays on Fourth begins

First Fridays on Fourth is a free event showcasing the arts in Downtown Santa Rosa with a block-party atmosphere featuring art, music, food, drink, and people.

Local artists will be displaying their work throughout the Courthouse Square and Railroad Square districts. Every First Friday of the month through October, 4-8 pm. Here is more info, including map and artist and performer roster.

This Friday, June 5, First Fridays on Fourth is complemented by several related events: Sketch Friday, a free participatory sketching event; art exhibit openings at the Phantom Gallery and ArtSpace 404; and the kickoff for Scooter Rosa 2009, all in Downtown, and all free (participation in Scooter Rosa’s scooter rally is for a fee but festival and entertainment is free).
