Time banks and barter clubs?

 There is an interesting post on Cash on the Barrelhead (Cash Poor? Try a Time Bank) about time banks—essentially barter clubs for services. The recession is apparently causing an upsurge in bartering, and there are a fair number of barter offers on the Northbay Craigslist. But I don’t know of any local time banks or barter clubs…if you know of any please post here to let us know.  I’d love to hear about people’s bartering experiences, as well…
