Fundraiser for Joel Moquete

On May 3 there will be a fundraiser at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma for 11-year-old Joel Moquete, who suffers from eosinophilic esophagitis, a rare disorder that causes his body to be allergic to food.

If you’ve live in Sonoma County long, you’ve been to a pasta feed fundraiser, and I certainly can’t list all of them, but there is something poignant about gathering for pasta to help a boy who wants someday to be able to eat pasta. And you have to admire  the mastermind behind this event: Casa Grande High School senior Ashley Andersen. This is one of the reasons I love Sonoma County.

5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3

>

Casa Grande High School, 333 Casa Grande Rd. Petaluma

Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Tickets for children under 5 are $5.
